About NANJALA

What is NANJALA?

NANJALA is a Nairobi based one stop shop for all your designs, flora and thoughtful gifts. Our core mission is to seek out, collaborate and support untapped talent and other high end designs in Kenya.

Are all products made in Kenya?

Currently all our products are made in Kenya.

Are all the products on NANJALA fair-trade certified?

Unfortunately most of our products are not fair-trade certified. This is because our designers and producers are not certified fair trade because of the high certification and administration costs that are required. Also the concept is relatively new here in Kenya. However, our frequent appearances at their workshops to make sure that no worker or producer is marginalized while producing the products we offer on our platform. Producers that violate our rules to grant every worker fair payment and treatment will be suspended from NANJALA.

Placing an Order

How do I make an order on your website?

Step 1: When you have found an item you like, select it and click on ADD TO CART.

Step 2: Review the items in your shopping cart by clicking on MY CART at the top right. If you want to remove the selected item, click on REMOVE FROM MY CART.

Step 3: Include your location to initiate a delivery/ shipping cost.

Step 4: Click on CHECK OUT to complete your order.

Do I have to register to place an order on NANJALA?

Yes. Registration is required to order from us. After placing your item in the shopping cart, please sign in.

Can I change an order after confirmation?

Yes. Please send an email with your desired changes to hello@shopnanjala.com. Make sure to include your name and confirmation email. We will process your request as quickly as possible.

Will I receive an invoice for my purchase?

Yes. You will receive an invoice for your purchase via email. A printed invoice will also be included with your shipment/delivery.

How long do items stay in my shopping cart?

Your items will remain in your shopping cart for 60 minutes.

Getting my items

How will my order be shipped?

Your order will be shipped with Sendy. Kindly note that we do not ship to P.O. Boxes at the moment, only physical addresses are allowed. Deliveries are currently restricted to Nairobi and its environs.

Do you ship regionally and internationally?

At the moment no, we only ship within Nairobi and her satellite towns.

What happens if I am not at home at the time of delivery?

Should you not be at home at the time of delivery, you will receive a notification with which you can pick up your package from the Sendy offices which are at Green House, 3rd floor, Ngong Road (Next to Adams Arcade) Nairobi, Kenya.

What should I do if my package does not arrive?

If your package does not arrive, please contact us so we can attempt to locate your order. Get in touch with us at hello@shopnanjala.com

I received the incorrect or damaged item. What happens now?

If you have received the incorrect or damaged item, please contact us immediately at hello@shopnanjala.com and return the package to us. We will ship the correct order to you as quickly as possible. We will not charge you for the return shipment or charge you shipping costs for the correct or undamaged item.

Return and Exchange of items

Can I return the item if I do not like it?

You may return purchased items within 7 days of delivery. Contact hello@shopnanjala.com to verify the problem then kindly include the issue highlighted on a slip of paper, enclose it with the product that you wish returned and place in the same packaging that was used for delivery. Courier and transaction costs will be deducted during reimbursement. Allow 3 working days from time we receive returned product to settle reimbursement.

Can I exchange my purchased items?

You may exchange purchased items within 7 days of delivery.

Where will my money be refunded?

Depending on your payment method, the money will be returned to the account you specified.

How do I create an account?

To create a user account at SHOPNANJALA.COM please click on MY ACCOUNT on the right side of the top banner.

Will my data be shared with third parties?

Your data is only used to complete your order and will never be passed to third parties without your consent. Please see the Privacy Policy for further information.

What can I do if I forget my password?

If you have forgotten your password, click “forgot password” on the login page or the following link. We cannot email you your password for security reasons.

How do I log out?

Click on LOG OUT at the top right hand side of the Site. This will log you out of your user account until you log in again.

Newsletter

How do I subscribe to the NANJALA newsletter?

If you want regular updates about the newest trends and offers NANJALA has to offer, you can sign up to receive our newsletter from the NEWSLETTER bar that indicates that you need to type your email address. If you are already a registered user, you can sign up for the NANJALA newsletter from your account.

Why does the newsletter end up in my spam folder?

If you have a spam filter activated in your email program, it may mark our newsletter as spam. In order to avoid this, please add NANJALA’s newsletter address to your address book. That way our newsletter will be kept in your inbox.

I want to unsubscribe from the NANJALA newsletter.

If you would like to unsubscribe the NANJALA newsletter, you can do this by clicking  “unsubscribe from newsletter” link under the NEWSLETTER item. If you are a registered customer, you can unsubscribe from directly within your user account.
